Learning something new every day

Being a Mopar guy more than anything, and not knowing much about Chevies, I just learned that the trucks were C or K after 1959.

The C was a 2 wheel drive, the K was a 4 wheel drive.

Chevy puts a Tron inspired Cruze at the Auto China 2016

this automotive homage is General Motors’ own tribute to the science-fiction series. This version of the Chevrolet Cruze is on display in Beijing for Auto China 2016, and the mostly black car gets its TRON-like look from a special metallic paint.

In order to help highlight some of the standout features of the Silverado HD, Chevy teamed up with 5 pro rodeo stars to form a group now known as Team Chevy Rodeo.

Nothing says ‘rough,’ ‘tough,’ and ‘rugged’ like a group of professional cowboys. Chevy showcased just how capable and reliable it’s Silverados are, creating Team Chevy Rodeo. Chevy recruited some of today’s top professional rodeo talent to make up the team, who each will get behind the wheel of their very own Silverado HD.

The marketing tactic is meant to show off the trucks’ numerous features for getting the job done, including powertrain grade braking, integrated cruise control, and diesel exhaust braking to enhance control while towing.

“This team is as hardworking on the ranch as they are in the arena,” said Paul Edwards, U.S. vice president, Chevrolet Marketing in a statement. “There isn’t a more authentic group to convey the message that the Silverado is the most dependable, longest-lasting pickup on the road.”

The team is comprised of Tuf Cooper, Fallon Taylor, Richmond Champion, Luke Branquinho, and Travis Graves.
